Looking in the mirror early in sobriety can be rough. We either don’t recognize or don’t like the person looking back at us. When you look in the mirror, who do you see looking back?
When I first got into recovery I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror. I would even fog up the bathroom when I took a shower so I wouldn’t have to look at myself. It was hard for me to admit that the problem in my life was myself, and alcohol.
Slowly but surely, I began to look at that person in the mirror and accept him.
I also interview James who has 8 days of sobriety. We discuss:
