- Alcoholics are selfish and this will help us becoming less selfish
- Exercise in a group setting

- Take a chance
- Open up your community’s calendar and see what there is to offer.
- Be patient
- I went to school for over 15 years and ended up with a handful of close friends
- It may seem like spring will never come, but one day snow will melt. Your phone will ring from a person you have been trying to cultivate a new healthy sober relationship with
- Social Sport leagues –Underdogseattle
- Get on a co-ed softball or flag football team
- Be careful because some of these may beer leagues, but try to find a league that encourages fun opposed to competition. Leagues where costumes are required. People who are too worried about drinking beer in the dugout won’t be on a team playing kickball in super hero outfits.
- You put on the sober event
- You can control the situation and who comes
- Not travel
- I have made lasting relationships with people while traveling but the problem is, they don’t live in my hometown. The focus is to meet people who live in your hometown.
