American’s Are Drinking Themselves to Death
The statistics are becoming very alarming.
Recently an article and case study was published on Alaska Dispatch News. Over the last decade, the rate at which people are dying by alcohol-induced deaths has increased by 37%.
As of 2014, there were 9.6 alcohol-induced deaths per every 100,000 people.
- This number does not account for drunk driving accidents, other accidents and homicides that were committed while under the influence of alcohol. It is estimated that if these numbers were included the number would be closer to 90,000.
So much attention has been given to the rise in heroin-related deaths, but maybe alcohol is where the focus should be?
In this episode I discuss…
- The alarming statistics behind alcohol.
- I interview Bill. He is 58 with 3 lovely daughters.
- Finding the similairites instead of the differences between ourselves.
