In Episode 23, Jim talks about how he never felt good enough until he used the 12-Steps to get him through relapse and navigate every day in his personal commitment to doing the next right thing.

American Addiction Centers (AAC) presents “Far From Finished,” a weekly podcast that shares the real-life stories of people who survived addiction to thrive in recovery. In Episode 23, Jim talks about how he started drinking at the age of 15. He always felt like he was less than other people, but when he drank he felt that he was equal to them.  Now in his mid 60s, Jim’s journey towards recovery has seen him go from selling drugs, to being in and out of prison as well as treatment and relapse to the point where he felt like a ghost. After committing to 74 days of treatment, Jim feels like his life is now more complete. He can look at himself in the mirror and feel content. For him that’s a wonderful feeling.
